EMMAUS PILGRIMAGE TO SEVENHILL FOR THIS

JUBILEE YEAR OF HOPE

Please reserve your seat. A professional coach and driver will transport us to the Sevenhill Ignatian Spirituality Centre and Winery in the beautiful Clare Valley on 4 October (Saturday of the Long Weekend). Seats $30 (BYO lunch or pre-ordering and delivery available from the nearby bakery). Departing Holy Cross Church 8:30 am, returning 6:00pm. Share in Mass in St Aloysius Church, lunch, mindfulness meditation, Stations of the Cross, winery tour and wine tasting. 33 parishioners have registered a seat, we need another 24 to fill the bus. EMMAUS PARISH INVITES YOU TO...FRIDAY FAMILY TIME

on Friday August 29 at St Therese School CLG (Dominican Room) 5.30pm - 7.30pm. Come along and start your weekend with your family and meet other families in your community. FREE CONCERT

Come & enjoy a concert of beautiful music performed by the choirs of St Francis Xavier Cathedral and Holy Cross Church, and the Flinders University Chamber Ensemble, co-directed by Timothy Davey & Arthur Siow. Concerts will be held on Friday 29 August at 7pm in St Francis Xavier Cathedral AND Sunday 31 August from 12:30pm in Holy Cross Church. The concert program focuses on God's ever-loving presence as we journey from darkness to light, featuring works by Forrest, Hagenberg, Handel, Lauridsen & Vivaldi. No entry fee, but donations appreciated.

MORNING TEA IN THE LIBRARY SUNDAY AUGUST 31st.

It is the 5th Sunday of the month again and we are delighted to have Karen De Sousa share with us her insights and experiences of attending an International WUCWO Meeting in Rome. Karen witnessed some very significant events at the Vatican and we are excited to hear about them.

Coffee Connect will be served in the hall after Mass, grab a coffee and come to The Mary MacKillop Room.

NEXT GATHERING is on Wednesday 4th September. We look forward to welcoming you to our Kingswood Hall. Mass at 11.30am, followed by lunch at 12 noon. You will enjoy good company and delicious food served by our volunteers in our warm and comfortable hall. Donation $5.00 for lunch.

MAJELLA’S SPIRITUALITY GROUP

Wednesday 17th September in the Mary MacKillop Room at the back of the Parish Hall at Kingswood from 1.00 - 2.30pm. This is open to ALL Parishioners.

Crochet / Craft & Cuppa

The crochet group meets on Monday mornings in the back meeting room of Holy Cross church, Goodwood. Starting from 9am and finishing 10.30 ish. New members always welcome. Just bring a ball of wool and a hook if you have one. If you don't know how to crochet we can teach you. You can bring other craft if you prefer. We work on our own projects and some joint projects. DIOCESAN SYNOD FORMATION SESSION: WHAT IS A DIOCESAN SYNOD?

The Archdiocese of Adelaide is preparing for a Synod in 2026. We invite anyone who wants to learn more about the Synod to join an online formation session each month with other people from across the Archdiocese. Each session will explore a different aspect or theme of the Synod. More information and recorded formation sessions are available on the Synod website at togetherontheway.au.

Emmaus Parish’s Cana Cottages at Aldinga

idyllic location, affordable break…..Four old-style beach shacks on the esplanade at Aldinga Beach, each sleeps 10 (8 in bunks and a main bedroom) (as of 2024, rates are $75/night ($80/night during December and January). Emmaus parishioners have been holidaying down at Cana since 1965. Not the Grand Hyatt, but the Grand Hyatt doesn’t have our views or proximity to Adelaide’s favourite beach.
